Hi there! I’m Karen and this is my website documenting my journey in the next stage of my life. I trained as a clinical doctor and have spent more than two decades working in healthcare. My journey has taken me into the frontline battlefields, working directly with patients and also doing research work building the next generation of drugs and medical devices. Now I am focused on trying to create and live the life that I want. This is what I am calling Peak Life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am passionate about this space and continue working in it. Over the last couple of years, I have moved even further into the frontiers of health and am now advising startups that leverage cutting-edge technologies to deliver the best healthcare to those that need it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I continue my life as a doctor, as a mother, a wife, and now as an entrepreneur, there are three major guiding stars that I have come to embrace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ideas are free, action is key<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This mantra has been with me for as long as I can remember but It was not always phrased as such. It was how I excelled in school. Scoring well enough year after year to get into medical school and graduate. I embraced it at work. It helped me get promotions and opportunities to grow and contribute more. Now it guides my sons in their respective endeavors. I call this one of my living word legacies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Live the life you want<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As I started my career I worked for other people and in cooperations. Some were big, some were small. I can’t say that I suddenly had an epiphany and threw in the towel and started on the entrepreneur route. Like most of life, things happened and I was thrust into this journey. A strange thing happened. I likely it! In fact, I love it! There is a sense of freedom and all of a sudden I have the space to do what I really want. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Life long learning keeps you young<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You have to be a lifelong learner! This is the reason why I found it easy to transition from working for others to working for self. I am driven by new ideas, new learnings and new ways to apply all of these. You want to know a way to know you are still young at heart and life? Go and try and discuss the newest YouTuber or TikToker trending with your children or a younger generation. If you can hold up a conversation then you know you are on trend. The world is constantly evolving and there is so much joy to keep up with all of it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
